It is rare that so many ethinicallly and geographically selective items are available in one spot so better grab now before they go poof tomorrow at midnight. So many have sung you the praises of this charity and the orphaned children it will help. So…. i will only gently remind you that you will be helping those who have so little and you will look fabulous in the process of doing so.

Princess of the Serengeti

Sequoia has chosen the brilliant colours of the Serengeti outfit and turban by Tres Beau to close out her african continental experience. The mesh harmem pants have a wonderful hip hugging fit and the disc hoop earrings and bracelet set is a spot on match to the flow of vivid hues and patterns of the turban to the top to the pants bringing a beautiful balance and exposure of skin. What a delicious way to show off the exclusive skin Delirio from Yoa Divine Spell.

The Vision: To Give Disadvantaged Children a Good Future

Tunza comes from the Swahili word meaning “to care for” and that is the goal of The Mama Tunza Children’s Home.  There are an estimated 1,659,000 orphans in Kenya, approximately 126 or which call The Mama Tunza Children’s Home their home, and for which the Masai Mara event has been organized.  The mission of the center is to provide a home, nourishment, and education to disadvantaged children, many of whom are orphans, many of whom are HIV positive.

Your visit to the Masai Mara Solidarity Store is shopping for a great cause, helping to spread the mission and raise funds to provide a better life for these children.  There are so many beautiful exclusives available, and even 100L helps to feed a child.  Here is just one of the lovely offerings, the Zebra Showgirl by Russh Lussh for Masai Mara.  This is an outfit you can strut your stuff in, and it carries with it the spirit of celebration.

You can help put a smile on a needy child’s face.  Mama Tunza Video Link.

THERE IS STILL TIME FOR MASAI MARA!

Original post by Genevieve Kamala

I want to remind you that MASAI MARA THE SOLIDARITY STORE  is open until September 30th, so you can still shop donating to a worthy cause in Africa.

Today I have chosen a skin and a mesh dress in three versions, wonderful feelings and amazing textures.

The skin is MASAI MARA from Ooh-la-licious Skins, there are four tones from Brown sugar, to Cocoa, to Chocolate and Espresso, in various shades of intensity. They all look magnificent and very feminine,  for once I had to add more than one close up to show you the great golden lips and skin tone in the superb cleavage.

The dress is AALIYAH  by Topazia, an elegant mesh dress where you can find both texture and leather to create a sophisticated look that comes straight from the savannah!

Remember to shop at MASAI MARA, start now your Xmas shopping at MASAI MARA!

Enjoy!

Masai Mara Roar’in Mix and Match

I had a roar’in good time putting together this mix and match with some wonderful designs from the generous designers of Masai Mara.  Each of these exclusives donates money to help Mama Tunza’s Childrens Home in Kenya.

To begin my “big cat” theme, is this bold tone-on-tone lion-printed Le Lion dress from Miss Darcy.  It is great as a casual mini-dress, or for layering, like I did over Nieva Kumasi’s jeans with cheetah inserts.  Also making me purr, and continuing with my theme, is the Shambala Necklace, also in Cheetah, and Leo Casandra bag with its fun iPhone in one pocket, and camera in the other.

Let’s talk hair.  If we are focused on cats, well one must have a tail, so I chose this long mesh Britney braid from EMO-tions.  One thing I have to say about EMO-tions, particularly some of their newer hairs out…they have some of the most creative hairbases.  The Britney hairbase has swept bangs tucked behind the right ear, hints at a part, then is pulled up and back, on the left side, perfect for a hair clip, like the new group gift hair brooch from Vendome and some pretty dangle earrings from the Kenya Elephants in Love set for Masai Mara.

And of course, a Masai Mara post wouldn’t be complete without a Thank You Song from the children of Mama Tunza’s you are all helping with your generous support.

The Rhythm of Nature – Masai Mara

Original post by Nyree Soulstar

Have you ever stood quietly alone in the midst of a natural setting and just closed your eyes?  If you have, then you very soon realize that you are not alone after all, for everything around you in nature is living.  It has an energy, a rhythm that buzzes around you.  So often we get caught up in the hustle bustle of life that we don’t slow down just to feel… just to be.  Taking a moment to close our eyes, gentle our breathing, and reach out with our other senses in the midst of nature, I have found it can help to rebalance you.

Giving is like that as well, especially when we are helping someone less fortunate than ourselves.  As we give to wonderful causes, such as Mama Tunza’s Children, through the Masai Mara event, this too can help to rebalance us, refocus us on our own blessings, and give us that inner buzz knowing we’ve made a difference.

Styling:

Outfit: Royal Queen Brown Dress – Very Vain at Masai Mara

Jewelry: Bello Masai Mara Necklace, Earrings, Bracelet – FZaPP at Masai Mara

Pose: Imani Set – The Muse Poses at Masai Mara

Makeup: Eartha No Lip – Face Paint, Bella Vetro Gloss Toast – [mock]
